What the heck is a MiFi?

MiFi’s are small, portable, wireless devices that allow multiple end users to share a single, ad hoc mobile broadband network connection whilst they are on the go.

MiFi links to a 3G or 4G mobile network and creates a wireless broadband cloud or hotspot. This can then be accessed by mobile internet-enabled devices including smartphones, laptops and tablets and even games consoles — that are within the area of signal.

Although some smartphones will allow you to create a hotspot they have a limited range in terms of data and connectivity.

How can it help my business?

MiFi units enable multiple users to connect to the signal simultaneously, making them excellent when you are away from the office at an event or function. Often it is at these times that you require reliable and effective forms of communication but cannot find them. Think of the trouble you have had trying to communicate with colleagues at a festival or event, here is the perfect solution.

MiFi allows multiple users to make calls, email and browse the web whilst away from the office and communicate with your colleagues.  They can be powered from a laptop or 240v device and have coverage for all the UK.

One of the most appealing features is that they are compatible with all devices, so regardless of your requirements you will be able to access your MiFi and will not be dependent on another system or network that may have unreliable coverage. MiFi can also be used overseas so if you need to travel you can remain in touch.
